"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

A Buck Fifty

I'm up in Maine for a few days and today I worked on a simple, inexpensive project for the guest room. I spent $1.50 on a 60 inch piece of scrap wood and used a few other things I had around the house. If you're curious you will have to check back tomorrow on my progress.

It was a busy, productive day.

I'm also putting a few more things back together in the house...like the little window at the bottom of the stairs. My sister Nancy gave me this sweet little glass on glass mosaic.  I took it down when the house was listed...but now it's back up.

The green vase is made from recycled glass...and the blue bottle is quite old...I think...or at least that's what I'm choosing to believe.
