"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Catch the Moon!

We've been inundated with reminders on social media...but just in case you haven't heard there's going to be a supermoon on Monday, November 14th.  The last time the full moon was this close to the earth was 1948...and it won't happen again until November of 2034.

It also gave me the perfect opportunity to share this totally awesome photo I saw on Tumblr.  It originated here.

There's a lot interesting information about the supermoon in this article at Space.com
And this article was a really interesting too.

I follow Corey Templeton Photography on Facebook....a wonderful artist who photographs everyday life in Portland, Maine.

He just posted this photo...the almost full supermoon over the Mariner's Church in downtown Portland. When I was a Special Education teacher at Deering High School in Portland I was also a class advisor....that means fundraising and proms.  A few of the proms were held in this glowing upstairs banquet room at the Mariner's Church....a beautiful space. Nice connection.
