"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Orchids

Today was mild....almost spring like and tomorrow we're expecting a nor'easter that might bring over a foot of snow. That's the wonder and beauty of mother nature...each season...and sometimes each day is unlike the one before.
It's no different in the courtyard of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum...the colors and blooms are are constantly changing. February and March feature delicate orchids.

Maybe one of mother nature's most dramatic displays in the courtyard happens around Easter with the hanging nasturtiums....Connie's favorite.

These photographs are compliments of the museum website.... where I've been exploring the colors and blooms, the art, and the fascinating history. I hope to get back there some day....there's so much more to see.
