"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Sand Beach

After a wonderful breakfast and visit with Dana and Anne....Paul and I headed out to do our own exploring of the nooks and crannies of Deer Isle. Our first stop was Sand Beach...and it did not disappoint....so I thought I would take you along.

The beach had little paths and walkways that took you to such interesting and beautiful nooks and fabulous vistas.

I was tickled to see so many of these sweet Sea Peas along the walkway.

These rocky islands with the pointy pines are so quintessentially Maine.

More of our exploring to come...but here's a little rainbow for today.

  1. Dave and I vacationed on Deer Island several years ago and fell in love with it. As you point out in words and evocative photos, it is quintessentially coastal Maine.

It was fun to scroll through with part of my mind wondering when/where rainbow colors would become part of this post. Did you find this flower ON Deer Isle??

    1. How fun! It's a small but but mighty little island! Yes...the sea peas were right along one of the paths at Sand Beach.
