"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Tiny Things

I stumbled across this tiny patch of crucus on a walk in a very scruffy corner of our condo complex.

It's another reminder that spring is here...pushing through the winter grunge.

This tiny puzzle with these 4 tiny houses captured my heart!
Thanks Becky!

And right on cue....these tiny hyacinth buds are opening.

And finally....I found this on the living room rug.....a corner snippet from someone's joy journal. They go flying when I clip them off...and I must have worn this for part of a day somewhere in a clothing fold. Tiny things make me smile.

    1. There is just something so special about tiny! Ha ha...didn't think of using the tiny corner on something.

I think of these large hyacinth blooms just like an amaryllis....freaks of nature that can barely hold themselves up! But I do love watching them do their thing and I can't help but study it every day! So glad you are delighting in it Dotty!

  2. Those crocuses are stunning! I just bought my aunt a hyacinth plant today as we are visiting her tomorrow. Between the time I bought it in the morning and now, several buds have come into bloom! It is so pretty. My aunt is 97, broke her hip recently, yet still managed to get out to protest on Saturday, with the help of her son. Quite a woman!! And I love that you found a little snip from one of the journals !

  3. That tiny puzzle is just awesome! And like the others, I'm enjoying the hyacinth. I remember loving the crocus in my mother's yard as I was growing up. In Michigan after the cold winters any sign of growth in the spring was good but the deep purple blossoms were extra special.

    1. Thanks Julie! It's fun how images and smells can conjure up memories from our youth. A pop of purple after a brown winter is is such a treat!
