I'm always glad when I pause to notice something beautiful....last evening it was the sky. It's so easy to get wrapped up in the business of life and forget to pause...and just look. I never want to be too busy to stop and look at something beautiful.
Cherie and Dale....along with their precious cargo...had a busy day yesterday touring along the great river road. Cherie mentioned that she might have Traveling Flower withdrawal when this journey is over....and that made me smile. We've all been on this journey....so there will be an adjustment period.
They started in Alton, Illinois where they found a kindred soul bumper sticker.
It still makes me smile when The Traveling Flowers dine with Cherie and Dale. It takes someone with a playful spirit and a joyful heart to cart them around and take the time to stage these photos. They have leaned into this journey...and it has been an absolute pleasure!

Cherie and Dale sure know how to make meaning and create joy! The Traveling Flowers are SUCH an uplift. Thank you again for sharing their journey, MaryAnn!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following along Dotty!
DeleteThat sunset is stunning! I think Cherie and Dale are getting even more creative with the photos with the traveling flowers! The pictures are so fun and I bet they are enjoying the creative process of finding places to place the flowers for a photo. I know that my flowers are attached to a heavy rock so it is a bit of work hauling them around, but the joy of the photos - priceless!
ReplyDeleteI agree....Cherie and Dale are getting very creative. The whole thing is just priceless!
DeleteTaking art objects out for creative photo shoots is always a hoot - and watching others watch you do so is sometimes even more fun. I have taken my quilts to local parks, playgrounds, botanic gardens, and other photogenic spots around town. Of late, I've been using the fence in our yard for my Macnas series but once I move beyond those, I plan to get back to my 'quilts in the wild' approach (when the weather cooperates).
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the whole idea of quilts in the wild. I do enjoy seeing quilts displayed in beautiful places!
