"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Friday Field-Trip

It's Friday...Paul's day off...and sometimes that means a little field trip. Today it was Nahant, MA which means "the point" or "almost an island."

Here's where it is in relationship to Lexington and Boston.  It was only about 45 minutes away....and was just a delight! Good idea Paul!
Since Paul and I moved to Massachusetts I have tried to keep track of some of our local field trips on this map with a highlighter.  Nahant is the green blob in Massachusetts Bay. By the looks of it there are a few directions we still need to explore.

It was a breezy, beautiful, fluffy cloud kind of day. As we went over the causeway from Lynn to Nahant....I could just feel we were going somewhere special.

 A nice view of Boston.

Nahant has only about one square mile of land mass....so there were beaches, views and vistas everywhere you turned.  Some brave surfers took advantage of the great waves.

Then there was this little splash of color....hmmmm!
