Watching and Waiting

Sometimes joy looks like my Christmas cactus starting to bloom just when I need it the most! 

It's going to be a long night as we watch...and wait for election returns. Lots of watching and waiting going on these days around here!

    Your post brings to mind this excerpt from a novel by Pearl Cleage:

    " ... we danced too wild, and we sang too long, and we hugged too hard, and kissed too sweet, and threw back our heads and howled just as loud as we wanted to howl, because by now we were all old enough to know that what looks like CRAZY on an ordinary day looks a lot like LOVE if you catch it in the moonlight."

    MaryAnn, I see you finding joy, watching and waiting with grace, confronting challenges with optimism and energy, and catching love in the moonlight and the sunlight, in sickness and health, in conversation and stillness … TOGETHER.
