Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. Martin Luther King Jr.
We got into the mid 70's today and it felt wonderful.....but also a little strange. But I'll take it!
And the warmth prompted the daffodils to open up around the pond....such a welcome pop of color. It was also a good day to attend a protest...and the crowd downtown in monument square was impressive.I went by myself today...but saw a few people I knew. I spent most of the time wandering around just soaking in the energy and enthusiasm and mustering up some hope.
Here are a few of my favorite signs. This one seemed especially timely.

We got to 88 degrees for a short time in our neck of the woods—definitely an about face from some temps earlier in the week!
ReplyDeleteWe protested again in nearby Ipswich with several hundred others. Energizing!
My favorite sign from today:
THE TIDE IS TURNING—STAY STRONG.
Wow...88 is summer weather!
DeleteI agree...the protesting is energizing and I love you sign. It does feel just a bit like the tide is turning.
Happy Easter Dotty!
Thank you for protesting, MaryAnn. It gives me hope that there are so many people who are like minded and willing and able to do so. This is the perfect day for hope! I wish you a very Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteIt is the perfect day for hope indeed Judy! Happy Easter to you too!
