"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

All Settled In

Look what greeted me this morning!

One single Christmas cactus bloom...a cheery sight with all the browns of November.

It was a good travel day...and the funniest thing was that Jane's car radio randomly comes on whenever it wants to. It's nearly a 4 hour drive....and we chatted the whole way....and also turned the radio off about 30 times. It made us chuckle.

We're all settled in...and it's good to be together with my stitching buddies for a few days as far Downeast Maine as you can get.

This is where I'll be for a few days....

I'll be just fine!

  1. What a spectacular place to gather and settle in with friends after a send-off from a dazzling Christmas cactus blossom and a companionable drive with an indefatigable radio!

  2. Looks like a beautiful setting, MaryAnn, and I see that you're doing another needle felted vase of flowers! Enjoy your time with friends. Judy

  3. What exquisite scenery. I regret never having made it to the Maine coast. It was on our list but the opportunity never quite made it. Enjoy some joyful hijinks with your friends and laugh till it hurts. These times are what memories are made of.

    1. We had a wonderful time Louise. The Maine coast is amazing....but I expect the California coast is just as wonderful!
