I found this stitched/painted/doodled eucalyptus project from a while back and it reminded me what fun things are possible with free motion stitching. I love the wonky and wonderful shapes.
I'm actually quite fond of it...so I'll add it to my list of things to try again. That list is getting pretty long.Somebody somewhere said:
Grateful for where I'm at....excited about where I'm going.
Yup!

Ten cards ready to go for the garden store already—TA DA! Your cards are show stoppers—I'm reminded of girls off to prom, girls who have natural beauty of their own and then know exactly what restrained touch of makeup or jewelry will set their beauty off to exquisite effect. You're really knocking these out of the park, MaryAnn.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the TA DA Dotty! And thanks for that image of getting ready for prom...it's the perfect way to think about it. Some just need a little something....and some are beautiful just the way they are. Yay!
DeleteI think your cyanotype cards are unique and beautiful, MaryAnn. I've done a bit of doodle stitching in the past and your eucalyptus free motion piece is making me want to try it again! It's a rainy, stormy day today, so a good day to stay in and make some art! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the thumbs up Judy! I know you're a stitcher...so hope you give it a try. I know I'm going to do more. Rainy here too...so I hope to get in the studio.
