"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Small Things...Big Joy

Nancy gave me these adorable felted eyeballs for my birthday.....I think they're fun!

They're on two separate wires...so easily placed in any plant.

Small things bring big joy!

There was another small thing on my puzzle table when I got home....a found object from Paul. How is it that a bright green Duplo can bring big joy! I think it's as simple as making a decision to appreciate the little things. Nancy also gave me the little pink crocheted heart....big love....big joy.

  1. Don’t you just love plants with surprises and personalities? And I love the new found green, too. Happy day.

  2. The eyeballs are so fun! I was at a cross stitch retreat last weekend and came home with a frog and a tiny octopus. Both found at home amongst my plants. What kind of plant is that? I found a discarded piece of that plant on the ground when shopping at a garden center. I rescued it and brought it home hoping to revive it. The roots that it had were bone dry so I wasn't sure it would survive. It took a couple of weeks, but it is growing new roots and is thriving! It makes me happy and joyful every time I see it, but I don't know what it is.

    1. Thanks Patty...yes they're fun. This is a Chinese money plant also known as Pilea. Your frog and octopus sound fun....and good for you for rescuing that plant. It sounds like you have revived it. It's all about the joy things bring you!

    2. Thanks so much for the name of this plant. Mine is just about ready to be planted in soil. I can now look it up and find out how to take care of it.

    3. That's fun! I've had really good luck with them...and they throw off little babies so I keep adding plants and giving them away!
