"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Fabric Flowers

This is a spread in one of my art journals.  I cut out the circle flowers and leaves from fabric and fused them onto a linen background.  I added some topstitching and a little bit of bling.

The companion page is a combination of fabric and tissue all applied with matte medium. The blue polka dotted vase is made from a  paper napkin and the checkerboard table is a piece of scrapbook paper softened with a layer of tissue. The page is finished off with a little topstitching.
