"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Siblings

Happy Siblings Day!

It's hard to believe that four of my siblings have passed....and they are dearly missed. And oh how I loved my grandma Funk.

Becky, Ed, Grandma Funk, Doug

MaryAnn, LaVonn

Rich, Angie, Marilyn and Nancy

Here we are a little older. I have fond memories of growing up with so many siblings on the farm. We always had enough people for a ballgame in the yard.

Ed, Marilyn, Mom and Rich, Dad and Nancy, Doug

MaryAnn, Angie, LaVonn, and Becky

Paul and his siblings.

Paul, Alyson and Liz

  1. Well, shazam! I didn't even know it was siblings day! I had fun picking you out of the pack in both photos before checking your labeling : ) How many years between first and last child and what were the years of their births?

    1. It's fun revisiting these old photos! There are 14 years between the oldest and youngest....1949 to 1963. And the oldest AND the youngest have both passed.

    2. Wow, that's quite a full house in a very short range of time! I'm one of 5 siblings 1950-1962, not quite as dramatic. So sorry for the tenderness of the loss of so many siblings already.

    3. It was a lot of kids in a short time. I remembered that you were part of a big family too! It was a wonderful way to grow up!
