"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Entertainment

We had some pretty impressive entertainment for happy hour.

Aras hula hooped while reciting the alphabet backwards. Yes...you heard that right. And Ayla hula hooped while simultaneously working on a friendship bracelet. I'm actually not so bad myself...but not while doing anything else.

  3. Hula hoops! I have such strong body memory of hula hooping with the greatest of ease as a child. I would have been 8 y.o. when they came into my life. I was a skinny little kid but I sure could rock that hoop. That said, I NEVER recited the alphabet backwards or worked on a friendship bracelet while hooping, nor did the thoughts every cross my mind. I bow to the prowess of Aras and Ayla! Clearly, I need to up my game to stay as physically and mentally agile as your amazing guests!!!

    1. Yes! Another childhood hula hooper! I have fond memories of it too...and still enjoy it for exercise. My sisters didn't think I could hula hoop for 10 straight minutes...but I have the time lapse video to prove that I can. And I could have kept going. But like I said...I couldn't do anything else at the same time like these amazing kids.
