My day got away from me...and was jam packed full. And my evening is getting away from me too.
So it's a good day to share a few photos of rain lilies that I have given away. I love that they are sprinkled out all over and my sister LaVonn would be so pleased. The original bulbs came from her...and she got them from her mother-in-law Rose. Thank you Rose!
These are in Deer with Dana and Anne.
And these are in York with Linda.

Those rain lilies are unusually beautiful. Do you know the origin of their name?
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of them until my sister got them. I read that they got their name because they tend to bloom prolifically after a rainy stretch. They are essentially a water plant and love the heat and humidity. The bulbs multiply quickly so they are easy to share. If you are ever interested....I'll send you some. As the trees in the woods get taller I am losing my sunlight...so I'm not sure how long I'm going to be able to have a pot on the patio. But I'll keep going...and sharing....until I can't anymore.
Deleteoooo, that's an offer I can't refuse—I'd love a few rain lily bulbs! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I will remember this in the spring. I bring them in for the winter when they are dormant and do my dividing in the spring.
