"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Knows Me Well

Becky brought me a puzzle....she knows me well and knows what I like. This one is found plastic trash objects on the beach. How fun is that!

And...she's already settled in with Philippa's Rainbow Pencils.
She's one of those people who can't leave a puzzle alone....and could sit there all day. When I leave a small handful of pieces for the next day....I'm secretly doing that to torment tease Becky.

Here's little sampling from our day. A good morning walk, a little shopping, a little coast with some beach combing and a late happy hour dinner on the patio.

We walked about 13,000 steps today!

  1. A found-plastic-trash-objects-on-the-beach jigsaw puzzle? Perfetto! Becky, did you just stumble upon this puzzle serendipitously or were those your specific search words??! You know your target audience well!

1000 puzzle pieces, 13000 steps, countless moments of shared life—ALL GOOD!

    1. Here's the story: Becky and her daughter (my goddaughter) were at a harp concert at an art museum and they saw the puzzle in the museum gift show. They both knew that it belonged on my puzzle table. Another reminder that joy is there if we pay attention. Perfecto indeed!

  2. How fabulous that the two of you can enjoy each other's company for so many days! I'm pretty sure I have already said this in the past- but you look like you could be sisters. They say that husbands/wives start to look alike (maybe?) but perhaps that is true for good friends as well. Enjoy.
