"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Simple Joy

I'm hip deep in a couple of projects...and I've spent all my creative energy for the day. So I'm keeping it short and sweet tonight.

But I AM celebrating today's blue sky and fluffy white clouds. It was a spectacularly gorgeous day even though we desperately need rain.

I'm not sure I've had this many white rain lilies at one time....
simple joy was all around me today!

  3. Absolutely lovely. No blue skies here just overcast. Must be saving it all for the holiday weekend.

  4. The little things really are the best, aren't they? I'm not saying I don't want one big splash of an exciting day- but boy - we've had beautiful blues skies as well, cooler temps, comfy clothes, a good book, and a home cooked meal- these are the things that make days great- and I think a lot of the things that get underappreciated. JOY is every where- sometimes you just have to step back and realize it!

    1. Yes yes and yes! Your list is my list...love all those simple things. And I agree...sometimes we have to be deliberate about stepping back and appreciating the little things. Thanks for joining in me with that Kathy.
