In the falling of the snow there is hope for today, a promise for tomorrow, and peace for the future. For in the stillness of the snow, all things are possible. Samuel L. Barrett
We had our first snow of the season today It didn't amount to much...but the first one is always magical. I had nowhere to go so it was a perfect day to finish the tree....and get a really good start on the rest of the decorated.

Thank you for sharing the stillness of the snow, MaryAnn.
ReplyDeleteFrom Rosellen Brown's novel Before and After:
The snow fall[s] the way I like it best,
so quietly,
no wind,
no noise like rain—
you look out the window
after long concentration,
or, better, open the door,
and there it is,
everything changed,
covered with softness,
every angle forgiven,
every eyesore ... hidden.
What a beautiful poem! It really captures the magic of snow. Thank you for sharing this Dotty!
DeleteSo beautiful! We had rain yesterday, then awoke to a light frosting of snow, which adds a bit of magic to the bare trees. A lovely, hopeful post, MaryAnn.
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy! I can totally picture your frosting of snow after the rain. It does had that touch of magic! I just got in from a little morning walk. We got a few more inches overnight...so everything is crisp white!
DeleteThanks for sharing. Your posts keep me centered.
