Subtitle: The Day Before the Day After
I've always loved the day after Christmas. I actually enjoy the day after any big event. There is a calmness in the air as we bask in the glow of the event....and there is also freedom in knowing that anything might be possible now.
And this particular week that is sandwiched between Christmas and New Years is the best.
But today is actually the day before the day after for our family. Paul and I spent yesterday afternoon with Kelly and Sam at their apartment. What a delight it was to have them host us for a Christmas lunch...and we all got to put together Lego Christmas ornaments after. How fun is that!
And on this day before the day after....Nate will join us all at the condo this evening for a full family gathering. My heart is full. I hope yours is too.
Christmas lunch, Lego ornaments, days before, days of, days after, days before days after, and a full family gathering—full hearts and joy to the world! So so sweet, MaryAnn!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dotty...the celebrations just keep going. All is calm...all is bright!
DeleteAll/any of these days are just the best. I hadn't seen the LEGO ornaments, but for the last several years I have given my (adult) boys a new LEGO race car kit. Generally they can hardly wait to put them together. It makes me think that not all of the excitement of Christmas is gone. Enjoy your family-

Somehow I'm not surprised your boys are into legos.....more common ground. Sam bought the lego ornaments...and his girlfriend got him a big lego kit for Christmas and he is so excited about putting it together. I can't remember what the theme was but I know it folds up and can be easily displayed on a shelf. They kind of make my head spin....I could barely handle the ornament. Happy New Year Kathy!
DeleteWe have had 2 wonderful days with family and still 2 more with our daughter and her spouse. Happy days indeed! So glad you are enjoying yours, MaryAnn!!
