Paul and I treated ourselves to lunch out and a enjoyed the crisp air and blue sky at one of our favorite spots. We both love being home...walking from home....biking from home. But it's also nice to get out of the nest once in a while.
We used to live within walking distance from the Bug Light...so it kind of felt like home.

What a pretty lighthouse! Did you drive there and then walk the park, including the breakwater? I don't think we've ever walked this particular breakwater, but I know we walked one in Maine a few years ago, and we walk our local breakwater in Gloucester once per summer most years : )
ReplyDeleteYes...we took a nice walk around Bug light Park. There actually was a lot going on in the harbor. There is only a short walk/breakwater at this lighthouse...the better one is Spring Point Light which is just a few miles from here. THAT is an impressive breakwater to walk. Maybe that is the one you walked in Maine. We walked that one this past summer when my niece and her family were here.
DeleteAh, Bug Light, what a cute name for the short lighthouse. It is good to get out….always makes home so much more comfortable when you return no matter how short you’re away.
ReplyDeleteThe Bug Light....at Bug Light Park. One of my favorite little lighthouses in my favorite spot. It's in South Portland and had incredible views across the bay to Portland. But...there's no place like home.
DeleteBill and I are homebodies also, but it is always good to get out. So glad you had a good day with your husband. Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm becoming more and a homebody as I get older an I feel so blessed to have such a warm and comfortable home.
DeleteLikewise, MaryAnn!
