"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Oozing Spring

The grass is greening up....and I don't even mind the dandelions and violets in my side yard.

It's still slow in coming...but spring is oozing out all over. There is something so special about the ways each tree and shrub leafs out. All the little pieces and parts are beautiful and interesting.

And who doesn't love a patch of grape hyacinths. They're one of my favorites!

I had a special gift waiting for me when I got home. Tracie made this fabulous fused glass sun-catcher for my birthday...and it just oozes spring. I am smitten with the design.

It's a perfect addition to my colorful kitchen window. It pairs so well with my large fused piece...and the other rainbow Tracie gave me.

  1. MaryAnn, I've also been watching all the individual ways the world wakes up in spring, both down in VA for several days this week and now back home again in MA. [Speaking of travels, we'll be out of town again starting midweek this coming week.]

The interplay of color and light in your kitchen window delights and energizes! What at terrific fused-glass suncatcher you created, Tracie!

    1. Isn't it fun to experience spring in different parts of the country!!! Welcome home....for a just a bit.

My kitchen window makes me happy....especially that most of the things there are gifts from people I love.

  2. Very pretty. It must be quite the kaleidoscope of color when the sun shines in your house. And the eyeballs from the other day- absolutely hilarious!
