What a beautiful and joy-filled day. Home chores in the morning....a downtown shopping trip with Patty this afternoon....then a delightful happy hour and dinner with Paul on the patio.
And look what I found in my front yard! Isn't it a beauty!
At first I thought it was some sort of a ball sitting in the grass....but when I tried to kick it...it didn't move.I know mushrooms are good for the soil so I really embrace them. But it I left it.... it would eventually end up a slimy brown mess.
So I picked it....appreciated its beauty....and recycled it in the woods. Do you see the heart on the side?
And here's another rainbow from the past as I was getting ready to stitch this batik piece.
The mushroom heart! And the spools of rainbow thread lined up on rainbow batik fabric! A beauty here, a beauty there. As I tap my laptop keys outdoors on the deck I am savoring the beauty of the cool crisp air, the burbling of the frog fountain in our backyard koi pond, the assertion of white blossoms on Asian dogwoods, one to my left one to my right.
ReplyDeleteOh....I can picture you on your deck enjoying the crisp cool evening air....because that's where I was too! Different sounds and sights....same beautiful world. I love that you have a koi pond and fountain. How fun!
DeleteI love that batik and thread rainbow, MaryAnn! And that is quite a mushroom, with a heart no less!! It was a beautiful day here too and sometimes just doing ordinary things with our favorite people makes for the best days. So glad it was a good one!
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy! So glad you also had a beautiful day! Rain today....that that is welcomed!
