Way back in 2011 Ellen, Lynn and I did a year long ABC trading card exchange....it's one of my very favorite art trades! We went through several rounds where we sent a letter to one person...the next letter to the other person and we kept the 3rd.
We continued this cycle until we made it through the whole alphabet. This was my R card...for Rainbow. It features Ribbon and Ric Rac all in Rainbow Row!You can see all the cards here in this post:

I've been watching my Bowman's root plant closely that I got from my sister Nancy.
The airy foliage has had these marvelous slender buds for a couple weeks and I've been waiting for the first one to open. It happened today!
The blooms are tiny wispy stars that absolutely melt my heart.
And this happened today too! Once I got started...there was no stopping. Time to shop my stash for another rainbow puzzle!
You know I LOVE rainbows with pink — it’s only fair, right? (Paraphrasing my granddaughter Kimmy from twelve years ago as we were making her a rainbow cake for her birthday!) MaryAnn, this same Kimmy graduated from high school yesterday and is headed off to college in the fall! ππΈπππ·π
ReplyDeleteI think of Kimmy every time I see or make a rainbow with pink...and always will. It's such a great story! How wonderful that she graduated from high school and is heading off to college! Well done Kimmy!
DeleteI went back and looked at your ABC Trading Card post, MaryAnn, and I wasn't surprised by the joyfulness of your creations!! I used to love making those cards and I traded with a very creative friend, which was lovely. Such a pretty blossom to discover and a wonderful button puzzle to have completed!! I too see rainbows everywhere this month - so significant and joyful!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking back Judy! That was such a fun project....at the very beginning of my art trading. I'm not surprised at all that you have traced ATC's with an art friend too!
