"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Simple Circles

I have been sharing plants with Patty down the street...so we've been talking regularly. I've shared her pig parade in her backyard several times over the last few years...they make me smile everytime I visit.

Ever since I've known her...they've been bright blue. But just today Patty spray painted them into a rainbow in honor of Pride Month and I couldn't love them more!

And she's got a lot of spray paint left over so I know we'll be scheming about what else we can turn into a rainbow!

Well done Patty!

I recently learned that the wild phlox I posted a few days ago is invasive....that kind of makes me sad because it's so beautiful.  And I know people don't like dandelions....but you have to admit that a dandelion gone to seed is quite beautiful.  Almost ethereal.

And I saw this interesting specimen on our morning walk and my plant app said this ribwort plantain is invasive too.  But it also provides food for birds and insects so I will celebrate how beautiful and unique it is.

I had a little date with my gelli plate and my hand cut tyvek circle masks today.

I wondered about printing right on to an index card....and it worked quite well.
I printed two layers of a couple of blues....

and it instantly changed the card into a little art canvas. Then I got on a roll did some printing and painting on several cards to prep them for more layers and art experiments over the next few weeks for the ICAD challenge.
I actually liked the simplicity of it just as it was...but decided to outline the circles in white and add some red paint pen dots.

The red helps the flow from the last card. That flow is a thing for my tag project...so I guess it's going to be a thing in this ICAD challenge too.

Simple circles for day three of the ICAD challenge. ✔

A creative daily practice is good for the soul.
And I'm taking it on the road for a few days. More to come.
