"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

That Brings Me Joy

Paul's retirement gift from Hancock Church was an ebike...best gift ever!  He gets most of our groceries on his bike and will do any errand that is needed. He rides all over the city and neighboring towns often finding interesting places he wants to take me back to. And that brings me joy.

Just this morning....we walked a new route to a sidewalk garden he discovered on a bike ride.

He used words like airy... wild... and colorful....and he knew I would love it. And that brings me joy.

It was one of those gardens that was hard to photograph....especially in the bright sun...and it felt more like a wildflower meadow than on an urban street garden.

My mom used to plant bachelor buttons in the garden....so when I see them I think of her. And that brings me joy.

I think this street....along this garden will become a regular part of some of our morning walks. And that brings me joy!

Thanks Paul!
