Yesterday I was awestruck by Mother Nature...and today she made me chuckle. I wintered over the button ferns I had on the back patio last summer. I tucked them up under my table in the studio in front of the big palladian window....I just don't have room for extra plants downstairs. I've been watering them...but not really paying attention to them.
I took them outside to start hardening them off...and laughed when I saw a good sized oak sapling in one of them.
And when I think about that saplings coming out of that acorn....
I'm also a little awestruck!I finished one of Lynn's junk journals. It's filled with her own hand painted papers...artwork...and a few vintage papers. And all the page spreads have lots of potential for additional layering of paint and collage.

The art journal mania of your studio is like an acorn that is transforming itself into an oak sapling rarin' to keep on growing with just the right doses of your creative 'water and sunlight,' MaryAnn, and I'm awestruck by both the literal overwintered sapling and the journals coming into their own : )
ReplyDeleteHa ha...yes! And it's fun that that oak sapling actually grew in my studio too! I'm having a blast with these journals....and they are all the better because they are for other people!
