It was mostly an out and about day today.....some days are like that.
But what a surprise to get a special delivery from a very special family.
Barbara, Kate, Eliza, Oliver, and Avett are thinking us as Mother's Day approaches knowing that it will be different this year without Margie. So thoughtful! This arrangement is just stunning!
I think about Margie so often and say to myself that she would love to hear this story or that one...or love this puzzle or that project. But I'm also so grateful that she doesn't have to burden herself with what's happening in our country. It all would be so heartbreaking for her.
I did have time today to do a simple page in Brenda's altered journal....I try to do something in almost all of them every day. It's hard for me not to share too much.
I'm pleased with how this scalloped page turned out. It was one of the papers in Brenda's stash...and I believe it's from a reverse watercolor book. In order to get complete fishscale shapes I had to cut it apart and piece it back together...so this is actually four different pieces layered and stitched into the book.

That scalloped edge is so pretty and it would be fun to audition it against different colors. I can see that you are really having fun playing with these pages! And what beautiful flowers from kind friends. There are so many thoughtful people in this world who make us smile and touch our hearts. 💕 Thanks for sharing, MaryAnn. Judy
ReplyDeleteThanks for the thumbs up on the scallops Judy! Simple...but fun and it leaves so much potential for the page spread.
DeleteI agree...so many thought people in the world! And you are one of them! I still have your little joy/sun hanging on my puzzle lamp.
