Where did this day go? Some days just fly by!
I've been tracking this flower at the pond ever since I spied the first tight bud several days ago. This photo was taken this morning with that first bud fully open. It think it's just stunning.I just looked it up in my plant identifier....and the name made me smile! It's called sneezeweed....or swam sunflower! Now I love it even more.
This is a montage of the past week's viewings that I made for Alyson...starting with that first bud that caught my eye. I think the tight little buds are so interesting with their little bumpy stripes.
I don't think I could love it more...and there are tons of buds coming. I'm going to keep a close eye on it....it will make me smile every time I walk by.
Jay and Janice are coming for dinner and cards...and that makes me smile too.

Smiles here, MaryAnn! That sneezeweed is totally stunning, with each stage of its blossoming a spectacular show in and of itself. And the color is a smile if ever I saw one.
