"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Short and Simple

As I have gotten older I enjoy being home more and more. Today was nearly a full day out....so I'm going to put my feet up and keep this post short and simple.

I sent this photo montage to Alyson this morning with the caption there are still rainbows out there....on my morning walks.

We need rainbows.

This...may be my favorite.

  1. There ARE still rainbows out there and we DO need them! I am currently noting in our gardens the wide range of status in the life cycle, from already pulled out of the ground, to gone to seed, to blooming robustly. I'm grateful that we haven't had a killing frost yet. Finding it moe difficult to appreciative neighbor deer who've feasted on our asters. Your favorite photo above is also my fave! Hats off to you for putting your feet up this evening : )

    1. Don't you just love a fall garden when you get that full range from wabi-sabi to full bloom!

I'm kind of chuckling because I put my feet up almost every evening....even as I write a blog post. Last evening it was more like I put my mind up...for a rest.

  2. Oh, I totally get that, putting your mind up. That's really what you did, and I appreciate your making that explicit through such posts. Helpful mentoring for me : )
