At some point during our years in Lexington while Paul was the minister at Hancock Church...I walked into the sanctuary on this particular Sunday and Joan had a big smile on her face and said, This is Your Day!
It was the Advent Sunday of JOY....and Joan proclaimed it was My Day. And now I'm proclaiming this is My Week! This colorful joy is courtesy of Lynn Guinta.

JOY! It IS your week, MaryAnn!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to see my shooting star and to have it land hand in hand with joy on your tree—perfect! I have such joyous and tender memories of the process of creating a set of these shooting stars. Most of the work I did at home, but the part I recall most vividly is the assembling and finishing stages I did at my dad's house in 2017. My mom had died two years prior and I was doing an overnight visit with my dad at his home in Maine every three weeks or so and always brought along a travel art project. One of those projects was these stars. Each one carries the joy of being with my dad, the joy of using my hands to make beauty, and the joy of making something for Christmas in the quiet of February, months and months before Christmas!
I love my little shooting star! And I'm so glad to be reminded of the story behind it and that precious time spent with your dad right here in Maine. Thank you for sharing one with me!
DeleteI love this! Thanks for sharing my ornament, MaryAnn, and for proclaiming this a week of joy! I'm looking forward to what you will post!! ✨
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy! Your ornament is perfect on my tree...front and center. I have no idea what my week will bring...but I will be looking for nuggets of joy.
DeleteThanks for sharing the ornaments. They are both so darling and precious. Thank you for continuing to post the Joys of life.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure! Thanks for continuing to follow along. Have a wonderful holiday season Ellen!
