Yesterday was our official anniversary...but Paul and I celebrated today on our 45th and one day anniversary! I think we've found our groove.
I'm taking you along on our anniversary field trip today....Paul made lobster rolls and we took them to Wolfe's Neck State Park in Freeport. After lunch we walked the trails along the water and through the woods. It's a beautiful spot....and free for us seniors!
We had a glimpse of the water from our picnic table....the weather was perfect.
Lobster always tastes better with an ocean view.
There are defined trails and spaces and places where you can walk down to the rocky shore.
There was a large osprey nest in the treetops on Googins Island.
Happy anniversary, MaryAnn and Paul! Thank you for taking us to Wolfe's Neck State Park—looks like a place to put on my wishlist to visit soon. Beautiful! And what a wonderful way to celebrate this milestone together. ❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteThanks Dotty! It was a picture perfect day!
DeleteSuch a lovely post, MaryAnn. I can feel your happiness, and it is wonderful to witness such a solid and loving marriage. So happy for you both! ❤️
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy....sometimes the posts just write themselves.

DeleteHappy Anniversary +1, MaryAnn;))) What a beautiful Park in which to celebrate the day;))) Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThank you Julierose! It's a beautiful spot...and a great place to celebrate.
DeleteI can’t think of a more perfect day for you to celebrate 45 years and 1 day of marriage…..I believe a 45 year marriage to a wonderful and kind man is indicative of a wonderful and kind wife.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cherie! It was indeed perfect! I guess we kind people are lucky we found each other. I think you found a kind one too. Any husband who so joyful plays along with the traveling flowers gets extra points in my book!
DeleteI have to agree with you :-) For my birthday in May he planned a quick trip in June to the Corning Museum of Glass with a lovely B&B that has a dog 💕which is a total score in my book.
DeletePerfection!
DeleteHappy 45+1 day anniversary! Park plus lunch no better way to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteLily
Thank you Lily!!! It was a great day!
DeleteHappy anniversary! That state park is beautiful and such a lovely place for you to celebrate. I have never had a lobster roll. I will put that on my list!
ReplyDeleteThank you Patty! I highly recommend a lobster roll. Just enough may to hold it together and a little salt and pepper. Sometimes a drizzle of butter! We can buy them steamed to go at the grocery store...then we just pick them at home. easy peasy!
DeleteHappy anniversary! Lovely way to celebrate! We try to be home from camping by ours in October, 40 years for us. Maybe we’ll head over to maine and camp there for it this year!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm not a camper...but I know there are beautiful places to camp in Maine. Happy 40 years to you!
