"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

45th and One Day

Yesterday was our official anniversary...but Paul and I celebrated today on our 45th and one day anniversary! I think we've found our groove.

I'm taking you along on our anniversary field trip today....Paul made lobster rolls and we took them to Wolfe's Neck State Park in Freeport. After lunch we walked the trails along the water and through the woods. It's a beautiful spot....and free for us seniors!

We had a glimpse of the water from our picnic table....the weather was perfect.

Lobster always tastes better with an ocean view.

There are defined trails and spaces and places where you can walk down to the rocky shore.

There was a large osprey nest in the treetops on Googins Island.

Do you see it?

Here's another one.

I took my rainbow parasol....but didn't need it....there was plenty of shade on the trails.

I've been married for 45 years and one day to this wonderful and kind man. How lucky am I!

    1. Thanks Cherie! It was indeed perfect! I guess we kind people are lucky we found each other. I think you found a kind one too. Any husband who so joyful plays along with the traveling flowers gets extra points in my book!

    2. I have to agree with you :-) For my birthday in May he planned a quick trip in June to the Corning Museum of Glass with a lovely B&B that has a dog 💕which is a total score in my book.

    1. Thank you Patty! I highly recommend a lobster roll. Just enough may to hold it together and a little salt and pepper. Sometimes a drizzle of butter! We can buy them steamed to go at the grocery store...then we just pick them at home. easy peasy!
