"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

So Many Things

I'm guessing everyone else is as busy as I am. Spring is like that...so many things drawing us out....so many things starting up and asking for attention....and so many beautiful and interesting things to look at. It's almost hard to keep up.

But no matter how busy I am there's usually time for a walk...with so many things to see. This morning I was smitten with this Camassia also known as Wild Hyacinth along our pond.

Such a pretty color and such an interesting and whimsical bloom. They look like purple butterflies with yellow antennae.

I'm always drawn to flowers planted in mass....and am so intrigued when they appear in lawns like yesterday's ajuga. Today it was these Field Pussytoes. That's actually the name...and it's perfect! They're not fully open...so I'll keep an eye on it.

    1. Oh...your response makes me so happy! I was so taken with them when I saw them...and even more so when I looked them up and found out the name. Perfect name for an odd little flower.
