I'm not sure it's a complete sentence...but I'm calling it done for now. Or at least until I get more feedback from Jane. I wonder if a poet...or a writer takes almost a week to write one sentence.
I wanted my sentence to shout JOY....and I think it does.

I declare it a sentence. It is not a fragment or a run-on. And it looks wonderfully like a whimsical vehicle.
ReplyDeleteIn answer to your wondering, I offer the following from a novel by Brian Morton entitled Starting Out in the Evening:
This is what an artist is,
she thought.
This is the temperament you need
to spend a whole day
tinkering with a sentence,
making sure both the meaning
and the music are right;
to spend three
or seven
or ten years
working on a book.
Thanks Dotty! And what a perfect poem in response to my wonderings! Thank you for sharing it.
