"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Interesting Sea Bottles and a Cool Stick

I took this photo at a junkyard of sorts on Cranberry Island. It wasn't an actual junkyard...just an interesting yard full of pretty cool stuff.

I've seen a lot of sea glass over the years....but these were whole sea bottles covered in barnacles. And it's the first time I've seen a sea flashlight!

This is the little pile of sea finds I brought home.

I hand carried this stick outside of my suitcase because I didn't want it to get crushed. Seems kind of silly.

But I just loved the gnarly shapes and interesting curves and it will be a great addition to my collection of really cool sticks.

  2. So interesting! I just love the things you find and share. I think the twisty bit on the thickest part of your stick is what makes it so attractive to me.
