"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Protest in the Park

Paul and I spent the afternoon in Portland's Deering Oaks Park for the No Kings Protest. There is good energy when two or more gather together for a common purpose.....and preserving our democracy seems like a pretty good cause!  Liberty and Justice for ALL!

There could have been as many as 3,000 people in the park....and we were proud to be part of it.

  1. Big protest here also. From there to a poignant life-affirming celebration of life for a former colleague. Now, overnight guests!

Celebrating your gathering together with others at Deering Oaks Park for a common purpose. NO KINGS.

    1. So nice to see big protests everywhere.

Sorry for the loss of your former colleague but a life-affirming celebration must have been a powerful end to that day. Bless you and your guests.

  2. I, too, rallied with friends in rainy Bellingham, WA. “No Kings” rings in my ears. The fight for our beloved country continues!

  3. I was protesting in our town of Fountain Hills, AZ! Don’t know numbers yet, but it was one side of the street for about 1/2 mile. It’s so heartening to see so many when I thought there were so few like-minded folks!

    1. So glad you got out there in Fountain Hills AZ! A 1/2 mile long stretch of people is a lot of people! The numbers keep growing...and that's just the momentum we need.
