"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Squeaky Clean

Allow yourself to be regularly humbled and startled by joy. Nanea Hoffman

Sometimes joy looks like a black eyed Susan drying in an interesting and symmetrical kind of way.

And today joy sounded like my cleaning lady saying "washing windows is my favorite." She washed windows while I washed screens.
This little hand blown glass pumpkin just glows
through the squeaky clean kitchen windows.

  1. You have totally got it going on, MaryAnn! An I'll-dry-out-my-own-unique-way black-eyed Susan, a cleaning woman for whom windows are her FAVE, and your orientation to being regularly humbled and startled by joy!

    1. Thanks Judy! I do love all that glass in the window...especially the pumpkin this time of year.
