Paul and I were out exploring most of the day today and it was amazing! It's going to take me a few days to go through my photos and process it all...then I'll share a few highlights. But if you have any picture perfect idea in your head about what the Vermont Countryside looks like with its small towns....rolling hills and farms...it's ALL true.
I took a walk up the road last evening...
...and I felt like I struck gold when I found this rainbow of batik fabric ties.A clever and inviting entrance to #28.
I'm guessing the owner and I could be friends.
It's lupin season....and there is a pretty patch in one of the many gardens on the property.
And they are sprinkled all along the roadsides here and there.
I felt like I was in the land of Miss Rumphius!
Inspired by this piece of doodle art on one of the shelves here ad Dana and Sean's home....
....I completed my ICAD #5 today in between walks and outings. I loved those wonky hearts that are scattered here and there.
I'm not quite sure why these photos appear blurry in my draft.
(watercolor and pen doodles on a gessoed index card)
OH, Yes, Miss Rumphius. I always loved that storybook. :) Love the lupins, too - even their leaves are pretty.

Thanks Linda! Yes...Miss Rumphius is a gem isn't it! My son used to impress his girlfriends when I could quote the book!
