"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Ambient Lighting

International Rainbow PEACE

I have always loved ambient lighting...candles and holiday lights help make things seems so peaceful and calm. These little lights highlight a special Nativity that came full circle back to us.

We hired my sister Angie to make a set for Margie and Dave many years ago. They had it for all this time....and now we get to enjoy it.

Dave was a craftsman...so very much appreciated the intricate cuts...and Margie loved it too. All the sections in the figures were cut...stained or painted different colors...then put back together. It's an amazing work of art.

I had a tiny set and had them set up before I found the larger set in Margie's things.

I've relocated the smaller set...and have added the lights to the bookshelf since I took this photo. But it shows the difference between the two sizes.

Thinking of Angie...and Dave and Margie this evening.

    1. I totally agree. Our local family is pretty small...and Margie will be especially missed this year. But we're used to small. I hope you have plenty of family nearby! Have a wonderful Christmas Louise!
