"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Nothing But Potential

"If you only carry one thing throughout your entire life, let it be hope. Let it be hope that better times are always ahead. Let it be hope that you can get through even the toughest of times. Let it be hope that you are stronger than any challenge that comes your way. Let it be hope that you are exactly where you are meant to be right now, and that you are on the path to where you are meant to be. Because during these times, hope will be the very thing that carries you through." Walk the Earth

There's nothing quite as hopeful as an early morning sunrise over the pond. At this moment nothing else mattered...and the day to come held nothing but potential.

I love the way the light reflects off the thin sheets of ice.
I ended up being out and about for a good chunk of the day....but that means the next several days I can be tucked in at home. Home is where I choose to be most of the time.

I generally take my own bags into stores these days. But when I went to Trader Joe's this afternoon I didn't take in bags on purpose. They had great holiday paper bags last year...and I used them to wrap presents and even stitched together my own little gift bags from the heavy brown paper.

I was hopeful that they would have them again....and they did not disappoint! You can't buy better craft paper for 5 cents anywhere! And there's nothing but potential in what I can do with them.

    1. Finding joy and hope is simple things is doable for me. The bigger picture....is still a little daunting.

  2. Fantastic sunrise. And fantastic on TJ bags. I have been known to buy the cloth ones this time of year and use them as gift bags. The pickle one last year was a hit.
