I know I'm a broken record....but it's been a spectacular spring so far and the plants and blooms have loved it. Paul and I have too!
This is one of my favorite garden views...and I wanted to share how it was progressing. And...I secretly wanted to show off off my new funky shoes.
Last fall I divided most of the crowded plants. I think it's coming along and going to fill in nicely with just enough breathing room. Then sometime soon my attention will turn more towards art again.
But I did do a tiny bit of machine stitching today. I did the decorative stitching on the gelli prints a while back...but now have plans for this little gem!
The oblong rock that looks like a potato has a great story that goes along with it and because of that story it will always have a prominent place in my garden. https://joyfulputtering.blogspot.com/2020/05/rock-in-garden.html
MaryAnn, your posts always cap my day with joy! Your garden looks magnificent, and I love the tease of seeing that stitched gelli print piece in process.
ReplyDeleteAND, regarding your potato rock: 1. SO sweet that it ties you to your mom. 2. It triggers a fond memory from 7th grade science class with Mrs. Small who brought such a rock to class one day as show-and-tell and shared that she and her husband would periodically, when entertaining dinner guests who'd not been to their home before, serve a meal that included baked potatoes … which she'd wrap tin foil 'jackets,' serving the rock to one of her unwitting guests!
LOVE that story! Thanks for sharing it with us Dotty! Gotta love people with a good sense of humor!
