"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

A Sunflower and a Sail

Paul and I were invited for a sail tonight with our good friends Janice and Jay.

We met them at their house and the first thing I noticed was the lovely frame of morning glories all around the door....so welcoming and cheerful!

Then Janice pointed out the most amazing thing I've seen in a long time...I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.

Do you notice something out of place in the next photo?

There, growing out of a crack on the side of their chimney was a single sunflower.

And, lucky for us it was a beautiful night to be on Casco Bay! The sky was changing every few minutes.

Thanks Janice and Jay!
