"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Found Object

Morgan Harper Nichols

One of the last things we packed up before we left the Lexington house was the "junk drawer" in kitchen.  Everyone has one....I think hope.

We threw everything in an box and it's been sitting on the floor in the dining room since we moved.  We finally went through it doing a fast sort throwing away almost everything except this little tin of magic!

I've had it for years and years and never use it....because it was lost in the abyss of the junk drawer. I guess that counts as a "found object."

We have several really nice wooden spoons and they're all going to get a coconut facelift. Simple....everyday joys are sometimes the best.
