"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

One Of Those March Days

"It was one of those
      March days
                 when the sun shines hot
and the wind blows cold."   Charles Dickens

I wasn't quite prepared for the wind this morning on our walk...it gusted up to 40 mph. But it's March....and we should be prepared for anything here in Maine.

We had crazy rain with the wind overnight.  It blew the wet sand around on the roads and as it got colder it froze in some interesting patterns.  The sun was still low in the sky....so the shadow of my legs is as cool as the patterns of the sand.
