Mackworth Island

Mackworth Island is just about 10 minutes from our condo. It's about 100 acres and has a 1.5 mile walking path around the perimeter.  There are wonderful views of Portland and Falmouth as well as beautiful views of Casco Bay. 


I have fond memories of us taking our boys to play on the playground, walk the path, and explore the shoreline.

Yesterday morning Paul and I walked around the island....and once again....it did not disappoint.





 The Portland Peninsula is off in the distance.

 There are lots of places to sit and enjoy sweeping views and water activity.

You can see the causeway connecting it to Falmouth through the trees.



Fairy Houses are welcome in the Community Village parts of the woods.                                                           



Heading home.  What a wonderful way to spend a morning.
