I had to stop and look a little closer at this patch of firewheel flower on my morning walk.
The details were amazing.
Of course I'm fond of the brand new bud that was just opening up....but I absolutely adore the yellow fuzzy centers left after the petals fall. What a fun way to wind down your life cycle.!
Another needle felted acorn branch....this time inspired by the fireweed and the touches of fall that are starting to present themselves....when you take a closer look.
