"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

David's Kitchen

Another thing I know for sure when I visit Becky...there will be good food.  Becky is in charge of the gardens and David is in charge of the kitchen...and the grill.  We eat well.

Day one David made Karbonade which is traditional Norwegian pub fare of hamburger with grilled onions topped with an egg.  An unusual but amazing combination!

Day two we were treated to beef bulcogi with sautéed carrots and pickled cucumbers. Amazing flavors!

Today...day three David made bacon wrapped chicken filet cooked sous vide style. (vacuumed sealed and slowly cooked in a water bath then seared on the grill)  Moist and decadent!
