"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

I Love a Parade!

I had to dig deep to find joy in the snow today.

We got about 5 inches...and I wasn't even tempted to get out in it this time.

It's pretty...but it's almost April and in general I'm over it.

But the snowy inspiration word worked to my advantage
in the Wordle puzzle this morning!

I'm having no trouble at all finding joy in this fabulous wooden puzzle gifted to me by Amy and Lisle.

Do you see the frog that I just added this morning?

I've done this puzzle once with Patsy and Jane while we were together in Perry.

We were all working on different sections so I don't remember that at the very top there is a parade of dancing people. They go in upside down....so I had to flip the photo to share the celebration.

I do love a parade!

It reminds me of my favorite parade above my front door. What I love most about this parade is that it's led by a little girl.

My sister Angie drew it with with a sharpie and it's one of my favorite pieces of art!

She projected a small image she found onto a piece of paper that was taped to the wall...then filled it in with sharpie. She was so talented in so many areas...and she is dearly missed.

  1. You had to dig at least 5 inches, but you are masterful in finding joy, MaryAnn, and find it you did.

The pairing of SNOWY and SORRY is perfect—right on the money for today!

Angie's art radiates joy and celebration, and your placement over the entry in your home showcases it exquisitely.

I had to dig a bit to find joy today as well, but having leftover lunch from yesterday's get-together with friend Anne at Sweetgreen lit me up : )
