"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Light

Tonight's the night we lose an hour and spring ahead. It always takes me a few days to acclimate....and I find myself saying it's really 3:00....when the clock says 4:00...or it's really 9:00 when it says 10:00. I do this for days and I'm guessing hoping some of you do too.

But one thing is certain....every day there's a little more daylight....and now there will be more light after dinner for an evening walk walk....and easier to catch the sunrise in the morning.

This fabulous one of a kind puzzle from Philippa Stanton is complete. And that little burst of yellow in the middle is like sunshine between the fall and winter colors in the upper left....and spring and summer colors in the bottom right.

It was colorful enough...challenging enough...and fun enough to be in my top 10 favorites!

Thank you Phillipa!

Pure joy from start to finish!

And thanks to Judy H....I have a little bit of sunshine and joy
hanging on my puzzle light for a while.

It's double sided joy reminding me to celebrate the light!

Joy!

My Words of Encouragement project got a shoutout on the Maine Needs Instagram and Facebook pages! And they are using it as a call for stories about what inspires us....how we build community...and honor people we love.

  1. omg, MaryAnn, Maine Needs has done a FABULOUS job of shining light on your project, a project in which you so magnificently embody the song of "this little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine … " From one candle to the next, light is spreading ❤️

    1. Thank you Roseanne! The best thing about this is that it's lit a fire in me. I will continue to use my art as a way to pay it forward. Thanks for being such a source of inspiration and support.
